This spring Benefit released a new blush shade called Coralista. This shade was immediately hyped to be the next NARS Orgasm and some have even began to begin stating that it could actually be better than the top-rated NARS shade. Benefit produces fantastic blush shades but this it seems slightly early to insist that this new shade can beat the top-rated blush of the past few years. Lets find out a bit more about this ambitious shade, shall we?This product is classified by Sephora as a warm shade and it is considered to be in the coral-pink color family. They state that it will warm up complexions. Here is the description from Sephora, "Take a tropical pleasure trip with Coralista. Sweep this warm coral pink powder onto cheeks anytime, anywhere. Move your brush to the beat & turn up the heat...bikini optional!" The average rating of this product on the Sephora site is a 4.6 out of 5.0, which is very impressive to me.
Several of the commenters have noted the similarities of this product and NARS Orgasm. Most reviewers seem to agree that this product produces more of a natural flush than the NARS shade. It is not quite as shimmery and therefore better for a natural look or during the daytime, making the NARS shade better for nighttime. I have never found the glitter in Orgasm to be overwhelming in the daytime but I do admit that I prefer the Deep Throat shade over Orgasm (but of course I own both). In the pan, I feel that this shade looks a bit deeper than Orgasm and might be a bit better with bronzer. If the person is chasing more a natural and semi-sunburned look.
I will give this shade a fair try but I doubt that it will reach the fame of Orgasm any time in the near future...
